What You’ll Do:

The position provides a variety of human resources services for Total. The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and administrative services to the Human Resources department in an effort to further the business units’ goal to provide supervisor service to our internal and external customers. This position performs diversified and confidential administrative duties requiring broad experience, skill and knowledge of human resources and organization policies and practices.

  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent HR related laws and regulations, including guidance and interpretation related to corporate policy.
  • Completes verification of employment and references for active and prior employees.
  • Responsible for collecting necessary identification required for I-9 processing
  • Enters data for Human Resources Department and verifies all information is correctly entered in the system.
  • Process separation and conduct exit interviews.
  • Manage personnel records, assists authorized personnel with the retrieval and return of files and/or documents. Purge terminated files.
  • Assist with unemployment claims by gathering documentation needed, complete claim responses and organize participation in unemployment hearings.
  • Assist with ADA and Religious Accommodation requests as needed.
  • Manage Human Resources Intranet Page, assign compliance training to employees through Cornerstone
  • Assist with onboarding for Office and Shop employees
  • Conduct initial intakes for employee grievances.
  • Excellent interpersonal, management, and networking/influencing skills – at all levels of the organization – and to both internal and external
  • Assist in other areas of human resources department and provide backup assistance as necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

Education:

  • Prefer Bachelor of Science or equivalent

Experience:

  • Prefer 4 years previous experience Human Resources field

Skills/Certifications:

  • Superior communication skills (both written and oral) and presentation skills; Computer Proficiency
  • Skills recruiting highly self-motivated, ambitious sales professionals
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, sales-driven environment
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation impacting Human Resources (EEOC, AAP, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc.)
