MD Internal Medicine - Sacramento, California
Compensation: $250,000 and above

Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a Medical Doctor in Internal Medicine in the Sacramento, California area. The ideal Medical Doctor in Internal Medicine will provide diagnosis and appropriate treatment plans to patients.

About the Job

Effectively provide diagnosis and suggest an appropriate course of treatment. Provide long-term comprehensive care to patients by prescribing, administering medications, immunizations and other non-surgical treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat bacterial/viral infections, chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, or diabetes.
• Prescribe medication, therapies, and other medical care to treat diseases and injuries.
• Educate patients and other significant parties about procedures, test results, or prescribed treatments.
• Closely monitor patient condition and progress, re-calibrating treatment plan as necessary.
• Administer immunization against preventable diseases.
• Monitor, adapt and administer individualized healthcare programs
• Use patient health data for medical analysis and offer comprehensive wellness exams.
• Refers patients to specialist physicians or specialized clinics when needed.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Internist experience
• Passed the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
• Board Certification is highly preferred
• Licensed to practice in California
• Active DEA license
• Active participation in continued medical education and membership to a professional organization is highly preferred
• Able to work in Sacramento, CA
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
