NOW HIRING LAB TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT IN CASA GRANDE!
$18 an hour
5:00am-1:30pm (overtime is welcomed/encouraged)
Monday through Friday with an as needed Saturday shift
- Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Associates degree or 2 years of laboratory experience in asphalt testing
- Position requires ability to lift 50lbs.
- Position may require overnight travel.
- Position requires valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Under immediate to general supervision, performs routine tests on asphalt, emulsions, and other construction, materials following established procedures; performs related work as required.
- Performs AASHTO, ASTM and AZDOT or other State Agency tests on construction materials.
- Receives inventory samples, prepares samples for testing, records test results, maintains lab & testing equipment, and cleans the lab.
- Performs simple math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) functions to determine test results.
- Knowledge of techniques and procedures involving sampling, testing and inspection of materials; occupational safety hazards and precautions applicable to the work including proper use of personal protective equipment; use of commonly used laboratory equipment including balances, ovens, glassware, hot plates; material sampling techniques; terms and symbols commonly used in laboratory environments.
- Ability to set up and solve mathematical equations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; perform repetitive tasks with high degree of accuracy, multitask and work independently; work with frequent interruptions and occasional changes in priorities
