The Role
The Lead Reporting Accountant role will be responsible for preparing financial supplemental trending data and certain quarterly earnings materials, working with Investor Relations, the Controller group, and other members of the reporting team. They will assist in preparation of monthly reporting materials for executive level review. This role will be responsible for developing and managing processes around efficiently and effectively preparing financial reporting materials.
The Main Responsibilities
- Prepare the quarterly earnings release filing 8-K and supplemental trending schedules
- Prepare the quarterly Investor Relations support schedules
- Manage internal and external reviews of these materials
- Prepare the validation tie-out of the quarterly earnings materials
- Prepare quarterly EBITDA calculations
- Perform controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
- Prepare monthly reporting commentary for executive level communication
- Assisting in other areas of the external and internal reporting process, projects and other duties as assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent education and relevant experience
- 2-3 years of SEC external reporting or other equivalent reporting experience
- 2-5 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting firm preferred
- Strong project management experience
- Must have the ability to interact with C-level executives and operations
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Workiva and Excel experience preferred
- Communication and organization skills, motivation and ownership as a driver for success
