Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Property Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have light experience in apartment maintenance and possess a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:

· Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and functionality of the property, including but not limited to:

· Repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, electrical switches, and light fixtures.

· Painting and touch-up work on walls, ceilings, and doors.

· Repairing or replacing broken windows, screens, and doors.

· Installing and maintaining smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers.

· Maintaining cleanliness and organization in common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and laundry rooms.

· Performing routine maintenance on HVAC systems and ensuring proper functionality.

· Assisting with the maintenance and repair of appliances in rental units.

· Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance requests from tenants and property management.

· Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance issues or potential hazards.

· Assist with the preparation of vacant units for new tenants, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.

· Collaborate with the property management team to ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance tasks.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and hours worked.

· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

· Follow company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, maintenance and safety guidelines.

· Continuously improve knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.

· Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Light experience in apartment maintenance or related fields.

· Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.

· Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Flexibility to work on-call and respond to maintenance emergencies outside regular working hours, if required.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
