Nesco Resource is looking for a Maintenance Technician in the Albany/Troy/Cohoes NY area. This is a temp-to-perm/direct hire position with excellent benefits, which includes an ESOP retirement plan. We are looking for someone who can provide expertise in equipment maintenance, design, repair, installation, and overall building/facility maintenance. You will be counted on to initiate projects and support the day-to-day activities in manufacturing efficiency, quality improvement, and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the functionality of facility equipment to troubleshoot equipment, and quality issues, and make repairs as well as, assess production needs and improvements
• Equipment, component, system, and device design and installation for all projects assigned
• Production equipment and facility improvement projects
• Provide training for manufacturing personnel in the areas of machine operation, troubleshooting, and safety
• Create and/or assist in the creation of training materials and/or procedures
• Manage and maintain plant regulatory and maintenance records (not including OSHA)
• Other duties as needed or assigned

• Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required with proper experience
• Certifications in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Fluent in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Autocad
• Five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and work procedures
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one or group setting

• Ability to identify issues/problems, evaluate options and implement solutions

• Must possess a good understanding and respect for electrical and rotating machinery
• Must possess a healthy work ethic, and take responsibility for assigned work
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing

• This is a hands-on position where you will use tools to repair machines

• When all the machines are running properly, you'll be doing other jobs in the facility such as putting equipment together, hanging items, plumping repairs, and other duties when they come your way.

• Monday-Friday
• 8 am to 5 pm
• Pay rate: $50 to 60K, could be more based on experience
• Temp to Perm, or Direct Hire, depending on qualifications
