Material Prep is responsible for organizing, preparing and/or unboxing component parts/products and
ensuring proper removal and disposal of packaging material. Includes material handling of materials which does not require
movement using powered industrial equipment. Performs work in a timely and efficient manner. Completes all clean-up and
housekeeping procedures and complies with all safety rules and regulations, including wearing all appropriate PPE.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes or related experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
100% Organize, prepare and/or unbox component parts/products. Ensure removal and disposal of all packaging material. Complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED, INCLUDING:

• Follow established standard work procedures, processes, and policies.
• Demonstrates good attendance, quality, attention to detail, and all safety policies.
• Participate in team meetings to exchange job-related information.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to effectively communicate in a team environment.
• Accepts responsibility for own actions, and follows through on commitments.
• Ability to understand and execute basic standard assembly procedures, interpret basic visual diagrams and use basic

hand tools.

• Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee
frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The employee is regularly
required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50
pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Temperatures can vary from cool to

warm depending upon the season. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
