We at Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies run the business operations of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) in the Americas. Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies is a joint venture between Freudenberg and NOK Corp. in Japan, is headquartered in Plymouth, MI, operates more than 20 facilities and employs about 4,700 people across the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Performs necessary compound and adhesive specification, development and testing requirements of APQP interfacing with the Project Engineers.
  • Issues testing requests and coordinates scheduling with the Materials supplier.
  • Writes reports to Project Engineers on testing and evaluations performed.
  • Issues/updates operating procedures and work instructions for testing and processing, material specifications, and operating conditions for new applications.
  • Provides technical support to the production areas.
  • Maintains vendor relations to remain current on product applications.
  • Outlines and manages development projects for performance and processing improvements to existing material and testing technologies.
  • Initiates and reviews projects with the Corporate Materials Group for new compound development.
  • Performs necessary functions to adhere to ISO/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
  • 3+ years of industry-relevant prexperience
  • Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
  • Professional-Level English language skills preferred
