Responsibilities
- Performs necessary compound and adhesive specification, development and testing requirements of APQP interfacing with the Project Engineers.
- Issues testing requests and coordinates scheduling with the Materials supplier.
- Writes reports to Project Engineers on testing and evaluations performed.
- Issues/updates operating procedures and work instructions for testing and processing, material specifications, and operating conditions for new applications.
- Provides technical support to the production areas.
- Maintains vendor relations to remain current on product applications.
- Outlines and manages development projects for performance and processing improvements to existing material and testing technologies.
- Initiates and reviews projects with the Corporate Materials Group for new compound development.
- Performs necessary functions to adhere to ISO/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Relevant Field; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
- 3+ years of industry-relevant prexperience
- Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
- Professional-Level English language skills preferred
