Under the direction of the section supervisor and chemistry manager, performs a wide variety of manual and automated laboratory procedures utilizing independent judgment and maintaining responsibility for assigned duties. Must be familiar with all phases of the chemistry laboratory to include urinalysis and urine microscopy. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces. Must also be familiar with specimen processing protocols for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.
