Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Michigan Center, Michigan is seeking a part-time Director of Music Ministry. The needs of the parish are for the Director to plan, organize and lead the worship services at weekend liturgies and Holy Days. They should also be available for weddings, funerals, celebrations of the sacraments and events organized by parish ministries as needed.The applicant should be an active Catholic with a strong love for the Faith and knowledge of the Catholic liturgy. They should be proficient in playing the organ and piano. The parish is home to a restored 2/26 rank Wicks pipe organ with additions by the Lauck Organ Co. and a partially restored historic 1927 Baldwin concert grand piano, both located in the sanctuary. A baby grand piano is located in the choir room. The applicant should also be able to direct both an adult and children’s choir, and cantors. Good organizational and interpersonal skills are needed. Vocal skills are desired. An appreciation for both traditional and contemporary music is an asset.
