Premier Eyecare Associates is a small business in 5 locations Trenton, Brookfield, Chillicothe, Carrollton and Kirksville. We are professional, agile, fast-paced and our goal is to at Premier Eyecare Associates, we provide our patients with comprehensive eye care services. We are looking for an eyecare technician in Brookfield to join our team and help our optometrists in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable performing a variety of tasks such as measuring visual acuity, administering eye exams, and assisting with contact lens fittings. He or she will be a team player with a positive attitude, as well as having excellent patient care.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Performing pre-testing on patients prior to the doctor’s examination, including visual acuity, pressure checks, and basic eye health checks
• Assist the doctors in performing examinations and other special testing
• Fit and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, making any necessary adjustments
• Perform office duties as needed, such as ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
• Keep the work area clean and organized, sterilizing equipment as needed
• Answer phone calls and greet patients
• Keeping up-to-date of new products and services
• Always provide excellent customer service

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dependable and have Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and multitask
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Prepares work orders which may include getting lenses put in new frames, checking prescriptions, and any add-ons
• Fit and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, making any necessary adjustments
• Perform office duties as needed, such as ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
• Keep the work area clean and organized, sterilizing equipment as needed
• Answer phone calls and greet patients
• Keeping up-to-date of new products and services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.25 per hour
