SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of production departments(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products by performing the following duties personally or though subordinate
supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures as directed by the Plant Manager to direct supervisor or company management regarding operating methods, safety and behavior.
  • Ensures that all employees for which this position is responsible are operating within established company and governmental regulations.
  • Review results of supervised workers activities by analyzing available information, compare them to company objectives, budgeted KCV's and expense budgets, and takes steps to ensure that measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Prepares work schedules as directed by Company’s requirements, and expedites workflow.
  • In conjunction with department requirements, reviews amount of work to be done, estimates man-hours needed to complete work and insures work is complete within the allotted time.
  • Insures proper plant cleanliness is maintained at all times.
  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments ofmachines.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality ofproducts.
  • Reviews production orders schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, andspecifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
  • Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production andquality of products meets specifications.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensurecompliance with standards.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing andmaintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Trains new and existing employees on proper operation and safety procedures.
  • Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Plant Manager for action.
  • Compiles, stores and retrieves production data.
  • Follows up on ALL customer request and questions to ensure appropriate response is made andcustomer is satisfied.
  • Treats all customers (both internal and external) with respect, courtesy and kindness.
  • Upholds and complies with policies and attitudes adopted by the company. Maintain a safe working environment at all times. Follow all company safety policies and governmental regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.

  • Other duties may be assigned to meet company goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Fifth year college or university program certificate; four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Pay: $98,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
