Job description
St. Philip Neri School, located in Linthicum, Maryland seeks a qualified PreK4 Instructional Assistant for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a part-time position.
The instructional assistant works as an aide to the classroom teacher to assist in teaching a diverse population of children in an atmosphere that promotes Christian values and encourages active inquiry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to implement instruction in concert with the school’s mission and vision.
- Support classroom management using school-wide positive behavior intervention and support standards
- Participate in active supervision of students at all times, including outside duties such as morning drop off/pick up, and recess as needed.
- Assist students with remedial and re-teaching activities
- Works with the teacher in creating a classroom environment conducive to learning
- Works with the teacher in providing progress through authentic observations.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Associates degree preferred
- Knowledge of child development and supervision
- Knowledge of Catholic faith preferred
