Job Summary

Desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with Intellectual and Development Disabilities enrolled in an APD LSD III – ADT program.

Essential Job Functions
  • Any other duties as assigned by Executive Director.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Florida APD iConnect Handbook.
  • Ensures all operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory reporting standards.
  • Pass, or have passed, a Level II Background Screening.
  • Plan, develop and schedule priorities for achieving operational and performance goals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of dedication and proactive leadership in meeting corporate goals and program objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Set high standards for themselves and does not accept unprofessional or incomplete work.
  • Must have an ability to stay organized and reach desired results within an ambiguous work environment.
  • Ability to work with, supervise, and provide training in an LSD III program in the ELS-FL division.
  • Have some product production knowledge.
Qualifications/Experience/Job Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Must have working knowledge of matching specific supports and interventions to the unique needs of the individuals served.
  • Must have a working knowledge of person centeredness.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 7, Office 2010 Excel and aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.
Physical Requirements
  • Constantly moves about to coordinate work.
  • Regularly works in fast pace environment with multiple task deadlines.
  • Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions.
  • Constantly alert and observant during working hours.

Special Requirements
  • Ability to meet the public in a manner that reflects creditably upon the organization and must have the ability to deal with individuals served and staff in a manner that is conducive to harmony and their best efforts.
  • Must be adaptable and have the ability to make decisions.
  • May be required to attend seminars or job-related training courses.
  • Must have understanding, patience, tact and professionalism in dealing with individuals served, their families or advocates and other agencies involved in providing supports for individuals served.
  • Must have the ability to maintain good working relationships with Evergreen staff and with contacts from other agencies or entities.
  • Must be able to prioritize work tasks.
  • Must be able to work without close personal supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Will have direct reports.
Employment Variables
  • Must have a good driving record which meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation. Must pass drug screen and criminal background check. Must be able to work some evenings when if ever required.
Working Environment
  • The work environment for this position is that of a general office/warehouse with moderate noise level
