MPS Group is Hiring for
Crane Inspector/Repairman will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of overhead cranes within
Cleveland Cliffs. This person will be a part of a four-man crew including a supervisor.
$500.00 sign on Bonus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities –
- Inspection of overhead crane.
- Service electrical (Check all controllers, tips, contractors, relays, boards, and wiring)
- Clean and Dope (Check all gear box levels, gears, couplings, wheels, bridge and hoist brakes)
- Structure (Check for cracks in structure of crane, up to and including handrail, cabs, girders, end trucks, and electrical boards)
- Hoist cable changes
- Wheel Changes
- Inspect and MEG motors.
- Change motors, brakes, gearboxes.
- Adjust bridge and hoist brakes.
Minimum Qualifications –
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of two years of related industrial experience.
- General knowledge of commercial electric (120v-480v)
- 10-hour OSHA card
- Can withstand extreme heat.
- Flexible Schedule (Must be able to do callouts/breakdowns)
- Promptness
- Blueprint reading (Not a requirement, but definitely a plus)
