Quick Service Restaurant - Director of Operations

We are seeking a qualified Restaurant Director of Operations to join our team in Michigan.

This role is responsible for the management of a multi-unit franchise located in Macomb & Oakland counties, including but not limited to; operations; profitability, brand compliance and sales growth. The successful candidate must live in or in close proximity to the market or be willing to relocate.

This is a hands-on operations position that requires daily presence in the restaurants. Our restaurants are committed to creating & delivering to our guests a great experience in a friendly, quick service restaurant environment where they can enjoy great food and great hospitality. The person we are looking for will have a sense of urgency to serve the customer’s needs, be able to multi-task and possess strong leadership, analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall operations of 5-7 restaurants.
  • Coaching, development, and support of the management team focusing on Managers, Assistant Managers, and Supervisors to ensure profitability, brand standard compliance, and guest service excellence. Interviewing, hiring, and training Management and team members as necessary.
  • Maintaining budget controls on all operations activities and managing restaurant P&L’s.
  • Ability to teach the Company’s Brand standards and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant.
  • Proven history of meeting and or exceeding key performance indicator metrics at all levels in Operations including Profitability, Speed of Service and Guest Service.
  • Ability to meet and exceed company sales and profit goals while maintaining restaurant standards in all areas.
  • Ensure adherence to all food safety procedures, in accordance with company procedures and health regulations and ability to take corrective action as appropriate.
  • Proctor Servsafe Exams as needed.
  • Experience in forecasting business trends and diligently working to maximize results.
  • Being highly visible in restaurants and understanding how to prioritize and schedule time based on area needs.
  • Assist the leadership team with special projects such as renovation supervision.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a national QSR with any combination of quick service multi-unit restaurant operation experience and education.
  • Previous Director of Operations level experience preferred (in high volume QSR concepts).
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and ability to build strong teams. Ability to create a vision for their team and see their team and operations from a "Big Picture" point of view.
  • Proven track record in financials, staffing, food safety and guest feedback programs voice of the customer programs.
  • Consistent record of meeting operational commitments and driving business growth.
  • Excellent verbal, and written interpersonal communications.
  • Human Resource knowledge including state and federal laws regarding employment and regulations.
  • Ability to manage a flexible schedule that requires working side-by-side with restaurant teams. Flexibility to work any days/shifts as needed.
  • Executes operational activities at high levels.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing.
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Undergo a background check, in accordance with local law and regulations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and possess all necessary documents required by state and federal law.
  • We are looking for candidates with a STRONG BACKGROUND IN QSR EXPERIENCE.
