The Position

The Senior Accountant will report to and support the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and accounting related activities, such as month-end close, accruals, account analyses, intercompany accounting and general ledger reconciliations. Additionally, this individual will assist with financial reporting, audits, budget and ad hoc assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the month-end closing processes and mentor Staff Accountant
• Support preparation of monthly analytic files for Executive team
• Contribute to assimilation and improvement of monthly financial reporting package
• Work with Supply Chain team to control and report on the financial impact of fixed assets and inventory
• Help develop/refine accounting processes and procedures related to internal controls
• Assist with the annual budget process, providing analyzed data as requested
• Aid in the preparation of audit support and schedules for the external auditors
• Perform various ad hoc projects for the Accounting department

Requirments

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
• 5-7 years in general accounting roles
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other basic Microsoft applications
• Flexible, can-do attitude and team oriented
