Data Modeler

Location: O’Fallon, Missouri (Onsite from day 1)

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand business requirements to create logical and physical data models

• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry-standard tools and methodologies

• Work closely with business analysts, database administrators, and software developers to ensure database systems meet business requirements

• Collaborate with the data Architect to ensure adherence to data standards and guidelines

• Conduct data profiling, analysis, and mapping to ensure accuracy and completeness of data models

• Ensure data models are scalable, flexible, and optimized for performance

• Participate in data modeling and design reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices

• Develop data models including ETL staging models and traditional data warehouse dimension/fact models.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• 13+ years of experience in data modeling and design

• Experience with industry-standard data modeling tools such as ERWin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts such as entity-relationship diagrams, normalization, and data classification

• Familiarity with database management systems such as Snowflake and Azure Cloud.

• Design the data marts in dimensional data modeling using star and snowflake schemas.

• Design scalable logical and physical data-models normalizing data into OLTP/OLAP schema.

• Experience with data profiling, analysis, and mapping

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $45.75 - $60.99 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• O Fallon, MO 63366: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Data modeling: 10 years (Preferred)
