About the role:
As a Senior Paralegal in the Litigation group, the selected candidate will focus on government investigations, intellectual property, and product liability cases, working closely with inside litigation attorneys, litigation manager and paralegals during all phases of the litigation process. Duties will include early case investigation, witness interviews, document collection, and directing the discovery process. The selected candidate will be responsible for proactively managing cases and claims as directed by attorneys, which requires problem-solving, effective written and verbal communication, and excellent interpersonal relationship skills.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures
  • Provide litigation support to global litigation team focused on government investigations, intellectual property, and product liability litigation
  • Provide guidance to Boston Scientific Corporation business partners
  • Lead strategy and execution for cases, claims and/or subpoenas
  • Research, gather, analyze, and organize documents, while maintaining metadata extractions and chain of custody continuity
  • Implement litigation processes and procedures into workflow, including complaint reporting, legal hold populations, preservation requirements, case assessment and onboarding, matter management, identification of data sources, constructing timetables, document tracking and settlement processing
  • Ensure protection of proprietary personal and patient-specific data
  • Conduct witness interviews
  • Summarize cases and prepare reports for managers and attorneys
  • Assist in developing legal arguments
  • Understand litigation applications and systems
  • Attend seminars and training sessions as needed to remain current and informed on applicable laws and regulations
  • Be actively involved in non-litigation initiatives, such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Employee Engagement and Volunteer programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience managing complex litigation at a law firm and/or at a public company (medical device industry experience strongly desired)
  • Excellent research, writing, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be a team player and work independently with limited oversight
  • Good judgment and excellent interpersonal skills
