SUMMARY

We are looking for a Purchasing/Inventory Control Specialist that will embrace our vision and core values.

The Purchasing Assistant will support purchasing processes, assess procurement requirements utilizing the ERP system, communicate with vendors, review quotations, and provide general support for the senior purchasing team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist the commodities buyer with procurement of all company-related requirements, including but not limited to office supplies, production materials, raw materials, and building supplies

- Use MRP to manage supply based on current demand to maintain accurate inventory levels and appropriate safety stocks to ensure efficient flow throughout the manufacturing floor

- Enter and maintain purchase orders in NetSuite

- Assure data integrity by entering data correctly and with 100% accuracy

- Maintain status for deliver items verify delivery schedules

- Coordinate logistic issues with shipping and receiving staff. Work closely with internal team to ensure material flow is being maintained as scheduled.

- Provide purchasing and planning support to all functional groups within the organization

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related field

- Two (2) – Five (5)’ experience as a buyer

- Understanding of basic principles of finance and accounting

- Experience utilizing and working with ERP system

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office

- Superb time management and organizational skills with a high attention to detail

- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

- Team player with ability to interact well with other employees and departments

- Ability to keep company and partner confidences.

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Experience with NetSuite

- Experience in Manufacturing Industry

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the production staff.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to assist in creating and executing continuous improvement initiatives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift to ten (10) pounds at a time.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
