The Strategic Pricing and Manufacturer Relations’ (SPMR) Product Strategy team connects economic, clinical, and strategic insights across the spectrum of manufacturer and customer interactions for the enterprise. It branches into three groups – Buy-Side, Sell-Side and Market Intelligence. The Buy-Side group is looking for a Senior Manager to join our team.

This role will connect Buy-Side and Sell-Side economics for Brand, Specialty, and Biosimilar products across Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSAS) distribution channels. This role will regularly interact with Account Directors of Distributions Services on financial deals related to RFPs, product launches, contract renewals to support negotiation strategies and provide needed economic analyses. Day-to-day activities include modeling and forecasting economics, impact/sensitivity analyses, and pressure testing multiple scenarios. Senior Manager will need to handle large data sets, apply critical thinking, model economics with attention to details, and summarize key findings/assumptions/decision points are critical aspects of this role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with cross-functional team related to new manufacturers, new product launches, and contract renewals. This includes modeling current and future economics and tracking iterations of models.

  • Design and modify economic models based on current market conditions, channel optimization, pipeline, buy and sell, and changing competitive landscapes. This includes pressure testing multiple scenarios.

  • Provide thoughtful recommendations and insights to directors and executives both written and oral. This includes writing executive summaries and financial overview in power point.

  • Identify short- and long-term financial opportunities based on current terms, market dynamics within the product class, channel, and customer segment.

  • Support broader Product Strategy team ad hoc requests for additional insight into specific products and/or customers across all channels.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Education/Training–
  • 4-year degree
  • MBA in strategy, finance, or related field preferred

Business Experience–
  • 7+ years of professional experience in a related field (pricing, finance, strategy, contract negotiations)

Specialized Knowledge/Skills–
  • Ability to present and debate, decide, and commit on a recommendation supported by facts and logic
  • Demonstrates adaptability, willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities accordingly
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills with ability to collaborate with cross-functional team
  • Ability to understand and conduct financial analysis and quantitative / qualitative assessment of data
  • Understanding of distribution services (experience with contract language interpretation and financial terms a plus)
  • Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel experience
  • Understanding of relational databases or experience using dashboards and SQL (experience with Snowflake a plus)

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$95,300 - $158,900
