Position Summary:

The Senior PPI Business System Specialist is responsible for championing and driving initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. You will drive process improvements via practical process improvement (PPI) or Lean Six Sigma as well as business process maturity (BPM) across all functions of the organization; with a focus on Voice Of Customer, Productivity and Quality and to significantly contribute to achieving the business goals.

You will work with senior management to identify ways to accelerate culture change and embed the PPI Business System as a ‘way-of-life' across the Saint Louis site. Additionally, you will be accountable for the successful deployment of strategic plans, motivating and engaging an informal team of local PPI certified experts from across all areas of the business, to ensure a return on investments and results.


What will you do?

  • Develop a cohort of Core Business Process Owners to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the complex production environment that our team members are working within, to ensure that our speed and reliability improves.
  • Manage the PPI project pipeline to deliver expected results; prioritizing initiatives that deliver ROI for the business, our customers and our employees by demonstrating tangible cost benefits, accelerated business growth and/or prevention of lost business
  • Partner with Finance and other personnel to evaluate project results including financial, customer and employee impacts
  • Partner with organizational leaders to create an action-biased culture of continuous improvement and accountability to improve their KPl's including growth, productivity, asset utilization, inventory and customer allegiance. Link project priorities and outcomes to business direction, KPls and Strategies
  • Maintain a communication plan that keeps the business and employees informed of pipeline status, project outcomes and their contribution to the business, customers and employees
  • Create and lead an informal network of PPI change champions across divisions and locations,
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture that encourages employee involvement and ownership to drive business results.
  • Identify best practices within or outside the company and serve as a conduit for best practice sharing
  • Work with a sense of urgency to motivate & drive stakeholders to complete actions within agreed timelines
  • Portray the Company 4i Values (integrity, intensity, involvement, and innovation) in all activities and actions.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree + 7 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an operational / technical environment as well as extensive experience in commercial environments
  • Project Management
  • Prior managerial experience, including demonstrated strategic thinking, influencing skills, resilience and change management
  • Proficiency with English language

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Six Sigma certification or black belt highly preferred
  • PPI Process Manager or equivalent certification such as Lean (preferred)
  • Resourcefulness to take what we have and improve upon it
  • Experience with Smartsheet preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills — with focus to PowerPoint, Power BI, Excel and Project
