Student Worker - Academic Testing Center
Job description
Duties:
Student workers in the Academic Testing Center are responsible for greeting all testers and assisting them with the computer sign-in and locker usage, as well as explaining various testing processes and the related procedures. Other duties include answering phones, cleaning labs/lobby, restocking supplies, and performing administrative tasks as needed.
Special Skills Needed:
ATC student workers must be able to maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor during both high-pressure and slower periods. This customer-service position also requires a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task/prioritize duties. Basic troubleshooting skills (computer hardware/software) preferred.
Additional information:
Note the Academic Testing Center is open when the College is open and closed when the College is closed. This means the Testing Center may be operational even though classes are not in session. Current hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8 AM – 8 PM, Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM, Saturday 8 AM – 1:30 PM.
Evening availability preferred.
MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE SUMMER AND/OR FALL 2023 SEMESTER.
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS.
UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.
