Responsibilities


  • Strong Communication skills
  • Learn and understand difference in Wire sizes and types
  • Ensure Wire product is handled appropriately so that it’s not damaged during cutting, storage or shipment
  • Learn to use and train to use machines specifically intended for cutting and measuring wire
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
  • Stage product for loading
  • Unload materials from truck
  • Move materials to warehouse for storage
  • Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out; no damaged material is accepted in
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). Stand up, reach truck, order picker and sit down propane fork lift
  • Complete daily and weekly logs for PIT and quality processes
  • Clean and maintain work areas
  • Develop and lead team
  • Wire cutting knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • College degree with 2 years or more directly related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
  • PIT proficiency: reach truck, order picker, “sit down” propane. Current certification a plus
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling small parts
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds


Environment


  • Long and varied hours required occasionally
  • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory
  • Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment
  • Ability to work in dusty conditions
