Responsibilities:

- Prepare and organize operating room equipment, instruments and supplies as required for ophthalmic surgical cases
- Assist and anticipate surgeon and patient needs during procedure
- Set up and maintain sterile field for procedure
- Follow all relevant safety and sanitation guidelines
- Participate in orientation and education of all ASC staff on an ongoing basis
- Restocking supplies as needed
- Inspect, replace, clean and sterilization of reusable surgical instruments
- working knowledge and use of sterile wrapping and autoclave use
Qualifications:
- Current certification as Scrub Technologist
- Current certification in Sterile Processing
- 2 years experience in ophthalmic surgery
- Current BLS certification
- Continuing Education in field
- Ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in an ASC setting
- Knowledge of regulatory and AAMI guidelines
