Job description

The Surgical Recovery Technician performs aseptic surgical recovery of tissues such as: Ocular, Musculoskeletal, Skin, Vascular, Cardiac, Aortoiliac, Bone Marrow, and other tissues. Performs medical chart review, plasma dilution review, medical screening criteria review, and qualifies donor for recovery eligibility. Performs aseptic surgical recovery of organs for research. Performs OR scrub and assists as the scrub technician on Organ cases. Performs screening at the Coroner offices to identify potential donors under the jurisdiction of the CME/Coroner Jurisdiction. Collects coroner post-recovery follow up information, such as autopsy report/COD/investigation reports as requested by Donor Information Department. Performs housekeeping and facility cleaning/maintenance such as, but not limited to, cleaning, disinfecting, mopping, and taking the trash out for both clinical and non-clinical spaces. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with OneLegacy policies and procedures, the standards and regulations as outlined by the FDA, AATB, EBAA, CMS, UNOS, and other applicable federal, state and local laws.

Qualifications: Highly qualified candidates must have one of the following: 4 year college or university degree, completion of an EMT program, completion of an ER Technologist or Surgical Technologist program, current or previous licensure as a paramedic, previous experience in the Tissue or Organ recovery industry or experience in the allied health field. CEBT and/or CTBS certifications are preferred.

Shift Times: This role works nights from 6pm-6am to start with the possibility of working days later depending on staffing needs.
OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
