Intelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Level 5 System Engineer who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis
Junction, MD area.

Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:

- Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement;
- Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management;
- Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.
Required Skills:
TKO is seeking a System Engineer for requirements elicitation/refinement, scheduling of work breakdowns to deliverables, and documentation of artifacts to support Digital Network Intelligence (DNI) Dataflow Modernization.
Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with DNI
- Good understanding of data flow processes and experience documenting data flows
- Understanding of system connections for data flow processes
- Basic understanding of NiFi; should understand what a flow file attribute is and how it affects data, or be able to learn it quickly
- Familiar with data formats such as CSV, JSON, PCAP, XML
- Good working knowledge of Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira
- Highly organized and comfortable with customer engagement and managing a project with multiple stakeholders
- Good interpersonal skills to coordinate and prioritize requirements with customers and other scrum team members
- Self-starter; ability to work tasking with minimal direction
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area).
OR
A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
OR
A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
Note 1 – Examples of Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.
Note 2 - Examples of related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.
OR
