OSP Engineer

With 3 weeks training paid in Hawaii

To support its strategic expansion, JSI is now seeking on behalf of its N-Com division, a telecommunications engineering and consulting division of JSI, is seeking an experienced Telecom OSP Engineer to assist as the local engineer for our telecom clients in Hawaii.

3 Weeks Paid training in Hawaii then back to your home location and remote work.

1 year or more contract

Responsibilities:

• Create high level designs of facilities placement for fiber greenfield design

• Determine ideal location for new above and below ground facilities and equipment

• Field client calls and field customer issues

• Corresponds and directs the work of a ROW Agent and Construction Supervisor

• Works in conjunction with the Inside Plant group

• Accurately depict new construction route opportunities on work prints/staking sheets

• Handle all job aspects from cradle to grave to include planning, designing, and engineering

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree in a related field
• Previous experience and knowledge of OSP Telecom Construction and Engineering a must

• Must be able to use GIS and Google earth/Maps to verify designs and potential house counts along with maps created by Mid-State Consultants Hawaii team.

• Must be able to do full layout from FDH to home.

• Highly organized, self-starter, and detail oriented

• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills

• Superior time management and strong attention to detail

• Must provide own vehicle

• This position requires US Citizenship or a Permanent Resident status.

Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour
