We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Tool & Die Maker to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. As a Tool & Die Maker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency in our manufacturing operations. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges using blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions
- Maintain and repair existing tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to develop and improve manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot and solve problems related to tooling and equipment
- Operate various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to fabricate tooling components
- Conduct tests and inspections to verify tooling and equipment meet specifications and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Tool & Die Making or equivalent field
- Proficient in the use of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Knowledge of mold building and mold design
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus
