Jacks has a robust online Parts Look Up platform that allows customers to quickly and easily find what they need, and operates a company-owned warehouse space to fulfill orders through its websites including jackssmallengines.com, snowblowersatjacks.com and mowersatjacks.com.

We have an immediate need for a Vender Relations Specialist at our main facility in Forest Hill, MD. The overall function of the position would accurately and consistently maintain vender engagement through regular sales activity, including the need to support fulfillment through inventory investment in a timely and prioritized receipt of ordered product.

Responsibilities:

1. Generates purchase orders in a timely manner to ensure proper sales activity is processed in a timely and efficient manner.

2. Keeps vendor database updated as vendors make changes to when and where purchase orders are sent, or contacts change.

3. Expedites all late purchase orders. Contacts vendors to obtain shipping information and updates all purchase order due dates, as necessary.

4. Works with vendors to process returns, take advantage of special promotions, and expedite orders for repair of defective products.

5. Bring ideas and innovative methodology to implement changes and improve measurable productivity.

6. Updates customer online orders as needed with updated information.

7. Completes all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

8. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

9. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Requirements:

• High School education or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, transportation, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related area.
• At least 1 year of experience with engaging in the use of ERP systems.
• Proficient in Personal Computer (PC) applications and operation.
• Meet a flexible working schedule, including the need for nights and weekends based on workload demands.
• Work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of and/or experience within the Lawn & Garden industry is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
