Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a VMware Engineer to join our team at our client’s site in Huntsville, AL, or in Colorado Springs, CO.

Description of Duties:

The VMware Engineer supports the MDA

The candidate will:

• Assist in design, document, deploy and support MDA's Cloud Infrastructure
• Develop and maintain systems documentation, assist with proposal writing, diagrams, changes, and SOPs for installations.
• View and respond to events reflected in the various management and monitoring tools
• Perform administration of virtualization environments to include troubleshooting, break/fix, patching of servers, and audit log reviews.
• Coordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve Remedy Incidents related to systems. Troubleshoot system errors or user issues, track resources utilization and performance of systems.

This position can be located at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO, or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

Basic Requirements:

• Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 4 years of general experience
• Must have 6 years of directly related experience
• Expertise running VMware 6.x and 7.x in large environments
• Experience with VMware ESX /ESXi hypervisor
• Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or higher.
• Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Must have or obtain an applicable Computing Environment (CE certification based on primary VMware platform)

Desired Requirements:

• Have current red hat certifications.
• Have experience with HPE server products such as HP c-CLass Blade Systems, Virtual Connects, and HPE Synergy hardware
• Have current Windows Server certifications
• Have experience using Remedy software.
• Have experience supporting a DoD customer.
