Lexington Center for Recovery is seeking a Vocational Counselor for our New Rochelle clinic. (CASAC/CASAC-T Preferred)

• Assess readiness for work, make appropriate referrals
• Assist in creating resumes for clients, applying for trainings/certifications/GED, and getting them ready for the workforce
• Vocational testing & run vocational groups
• Conduct vocational assessments of clients.
• Develop and maintain individualized courses of treatment regarding vocational goals and job preparation services.
• Coordinate group and individual vocational rehabilitation sessions in day rehab and clinic settings.
• Coordinate with community vocational service providers. Provide individual, group and/or family counseling to program participants on matters related to but not limited to alcohol and/or substance abuse.
• Integrate vocational rehabilitation services into the interdisciplinary team process. Vocational and substance abuse experience required.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in either counseling, psychology, sociology, or related field with a minimum of two years’ experience in career counseling, or
• Master’s degree in any counseling or psychology specialization, with one year experience in career counseling with substance abuse clientele, or
• Master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation or related field, or
• Rehabilitation counseling master’s degree student supervised by a CRC
