GENERAL SUMMARY

Operates the Town’s water systems and performs regular maintenance and repairs of the system. Conducts tests and inspections of the water system. Assists in the reading of utility meters. Operates equipment including pickups, trucks, pumps, etc. Performs other maintenance for the Town including repairing roads and cutting grass.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Performs daily water treatment plant maintenance duties.

· Performs daily tests to monitor PH and chlorine levels in a water treatment plant.

· Operates valves in the operation of a treatment and transmission system.

· Reads, monitors and records water flows.

· Conducts routine maintenance of buildings and grounds of all wastewater/water facilities.

· Conducts repairs and maintenance on all wastewater/water equipment.

· Assists in reading utility meters.

· Performs related work as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,781.00 - $63,155.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• water system operating: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Class B CDL (Preferred)
• State of Delaware Water Operator’s License or equivalence (Required)
