Job description
Women & Children Shelter Residential Counselor | $15-$18/hour
5 Days a week with rotating weekends, 2pm – 10pm
A Siouxland non-denominational Christian ministry who has served the community for over 80 years is searching for a Women & Children Shelter Residential Counselor to join their team! The Women & Children Shelter Residential Counselor is committed to taking care of those in need, and foster a place of mutual respect, support, caring and collaboration. Must be willing to sign a Statement of Faith and a statement of Marriage and Sexuality.
Responsibilities:
- Inform and enforce guidelines
- Resolve conflicts
- Ensure operations and functions are efficient and effective
- Conduct intakes and completes paperwork
- Daily documentation, maintain reports, and client information
- Supervise resident activities
- Ensure maintenance and janitorial tasks are completed
- Attend biweekly staff meetings and/or be able to facilitate meetings when needed
Requirements:
- Sign a statement of Faith and Marriage and Sexuality Statement
- Treat all guest with dignity and respect while being sensitive to diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- The ability to work with people in a variety of circumstances
- Must uphold the standards and guidelines of the organization
