US 1 Shorthaul holds the yard contract for a large distribution center. We are seeking a part-time, day shift, weekend Yard Jockey for our Perth Amboy, NJ location:

About US 1 Shorthaul's Yard Jockey position:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Correctly move trailers in and out of dock with yard goats
- Accurately perform yard audits at end of shift
- Proper pre- and post-trip inspections and submitting reports indicating truck conditions
- Adhere to guidelines of safety-sensitive functions pertaining to job responsibilities within yard
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Possess a team-player attitude
- Ability to read, understand, and demonstrate safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to request and complete trailer moves in the Yard Management System (YMS)
- Attention to detail
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers (required)
- 12 months of yard jockey experience in the last 3 years (required for non-CDL)
- 12 months of CMV/OTR experience in the past 3 years (required for CDL Class A drivers)
- Minimum MVR requirements met (required)
- This position must pass pre-hire background and drug test (required)
- Class A CDL (preferred)
- If applicable, Class A CDL requirements:
- Clearinghouse query consent
- PSP below 90
- If applicable, Class A CDL requirements:
POSITION TYPE, PAY, AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
- This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, paid weekly
- This is a day shift, weekend position; Saturday and Sunday 10am - 8:30pm
- Pay rate is $25.00 / hour
