Farmers Implement is looking for mechanically inclined candidates with good attention to detail for the position of AG Tech. We have both inhouse mechanic and Field mechanic positions available.
The primary duties of the AG Technician – Field Technician include traveling to customer locations, providing service and maintenance to farm equipment, and installation.
AG Technicians – Field Technicians need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced equipment and interact with team members on a daily basis from the field.
AG Technician – Responsibilities:
- Diagnose problems with malfunctioning farm equipment.
- Complete accurate reports about the repairs and relay repair information to customers.
- Maintain tools, service trucks, and paperwork/customer logs while in the field.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and determine equipment functionality.
- Repair engines, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Read and interpret schematics.
- Communicate daily with Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
- Customer service including explanation of technical information to customers in clear terms.
Agricultural Equipment Technician Requirements:
- Must have the proper amount of own tooling to complete repairs (laptops and EST tools will be provided)
- 3-year previous Agriculture experience preferred.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical components.
- Diagnostic skills.
- Physically fit and able to at least 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good organization skills.

Experience:
- Agriculture: 2 years (Preferred)
- Mechanic: 3 years (Preferred)
