Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking an Air Compliance Specialist for one of their clients, a well-known organization based in The Woodlands, TX. This is an in-office, direct hire position and pays $100K-130K (depending on experience) with bonus opportunities. This position travels up to 20% to field sites.

Job Description:

Lakeshore Talent is seeking an Air Compliance Specialist with a minimum of five years of experience. This position reports to the Manager of the U.S. Air Compliance and is part of the Environmental and Regulatory Compliance team. The position will focus on air permitting and compliance activities, creating and improving processes, and providing subject matter expertise to operations and engineering teams.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for air permit, compliance, and reporting activities to comply with federal, state, local, or tribal requirements (North Dakota or Utah experience is preferred).
  • Facilitate and lead air compliance programs such as engine stack testing, flare performance, gas and liquids sampling and LDAR camera surveys.
  • Develop air emission calculations through utilizing source emission calculations using EPA or industry standard procedures and emissions modeling software.
  • Develop environmental database data quality improvements for emission inventory management, regulatory reporting, agency information requests, and compliance tracking.
  • Develop impact statements for emerging air regulation rulemakings and legislative proposals.
  • Provide air technical support for facility design development.
  • Support air permit and compliance third-party audits.
  • Facilitate training sessions on air quality topics.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with an emphasis on air quality.
  • Four-year degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field is required.
  • Working experience implementing air compliance programs through the development of environment database management systems (ACTS preferred).
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of air quality regulations that affect Oil and Gas industry with emphasis on NSPS JJJJ/OOOO(a), MACT ZZZZ, GHGRR Subpart W, and NSR/PSD.
  • Demonstrated experience of engineering simulation software to estimate emissions (HYSYS or Promax preferred).
  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills with proven strong written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
  • Team player who is open to coaching others and being coached and follows through on commitments.
  • Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict and sometimes simultaneous deadlines.
  • Up to 20% travel is required and anticipated.
