Roles & Responsibilities:

The laboratory of Translational Adipose Biology and Obesity directed by Professor Susan K. Fried is seeking a scientifically curious individual to actively participate on research focused on understanding human adipose tissue growth and function in health and disease from a multi-omic point of view. The incumbent will work closely with the PI, junior faculty and post- doctoral fellows as well as our clinical collaborators. The incumbent will be expected to have substantial bench experience using a variety of techniques. The ability to work with attention to detail, and careful record keeping is essential. In addition, they should have interest and motivation to proactively work with the PIs and post-doctoral fellows to optimize protocols and develop new ones as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required
  • 0-2 year of research/laboratory experience
  • A minimum 2 years commitment is preferred
  • Appropriate verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
