Position: Aircraft Mechanic Paid Apprentice

Your first step into a well paying career as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. Learn under the expertise of Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanics and Inspectors. Use your interest in Aviation and mechanical ability to work on aircraft that fly every day. Apprentices are a critical level of safety, helping to inspect aircraft, prepare them for flights, and keep them fueled and clean. Interact with pilots, maintenance, to gain aviation operational experience.

Responsibilities:

• Learn from and assist A&P technician and inspectors as they work on aircraft
• Use your mechanical knowledge to assist flight safety and efficiency
• Operate fuel truck, fuel aircraft, and line services safely
• Facility maintenance; cleaning, washing, organizing etc
• Coordinate scheduling and aircraft maintenance via phone and text with student and instructors
• Identify customer service, maintenance, and other issues with appropriate solutions

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in 1st year of an A&P program preferred (Broward College, George T Baker etc)
• Basic mechanical knowledge, non-aircraft is OK
• Be able to lift 25lbs safely
• Be able to work in Direct Sun
• Experience driving light/heavy trucks/vans preferred.
• Superior organization skills, professional appearance, multi-tasking, safety-focused,
• Problem solver that likes challenges and puzzles
• Detail oriented and able to keep records of performed activities
