Basic Function:
The focus of this role will be to provide Administrative and Human Resources support to the facility and employee population. Bilingual preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all incoming visitors; assign name badges and safety equipment, as applicable.
- Manages the switchboard, answer telephone calls and directs the caller to the appropriate individual/location.
- Receives sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
- Provide day to day support to site Managers. This includes, but is not limited to: taking the monthly safety committee meeting minutes, generating the monthly safety newsletter, generating and maintaining reports for all Departments, updating employee training & database etc.
- Provide day to day support to Plant Manager & Plant Supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to: Maintaining and generating weekly and monthly plant production and OEE reports, generating weekly plant and maintenance employee overtime reports, maintaining the Attendance Point System database for plant employees and generate weekly and monthly reports, creating PowerPoint presentations to communicate employee postings and news
HR/Payroll Duties
- Help process weekly payroll for all employees at facility
- Assist with pre-employment items for new hires, new hire orientation and benefits enrollment
- Create and maintain all personnel records
- Assist with recruiting as needed
- Responsible for various reports such as: Corp. Monthly Headcount, Absenteeism, etc.
- Respond to requests for information from Corporate HR and other internal departments as needed
- Various other duties and special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree a plus
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an office/plant environment
- Must have strong oral and verbal communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills
- Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
- Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments
- Working knowledge of MS office and exceptional computer skills
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
