We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Billing Manager. OnePeak Medical is a group of medical clinics that provides personalized, prevention-focused primary care services. We currently have 12 clinics in Medford, Ashland, White City, Central Point, Grants Pass, Roseburg, Eugene, Lake Oswego, Redmond, and Klamath Falls, Oregon, and our Corporate Headquarters in Medford, Oregon. Our plans include extending our reach to better serve the Pacific Northwest by opening new primary-care clinics throughout Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Idaho.

BILLING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Monitors aged accounts and verifies appropriate collections procedures are being followed. Manages revenue cycle projects at the practice level, such as audits and budgets
  • Resolves escalated reimbursement issues with payers and practices for optimal management of accounts receivable. Challenges the status quo and champions new initiatives; acts as a catalyst of change and stimulates others to change; paves the way for needed changes; manages implementation effectively. Steps forward to address difficult issues and takes ownership
  • Develops, implements, and maintains OnePeak Medical's billing department policies and procedures. May develop training materials and facilitate staff training in policies, procedures, systems, metrics, government regulations, etc.
  • Identifies goals and vision for the team; guides individuals and teams toward priorities; clarifies roles and responsibilities of others; coordinates resources; and arranges organizational systems to meet objectives. Develops and implements progressive short-term goals that align with OnePeak's vision and business goals
  • Attracts high caliber people; accurately assesses strengths and development needs of employees; gives timely, specific feedback and helpful coaching; provides challenging assignments and opportunities for development. Responsible for interviewing, recommending hires, assessing performance, recommending salary changes, and progressive discipline. Enforces adherence to OnePeaks policies and procedures
  • Works closely with the VP of Billing and Claims Analyst on all aspects of the department
  • Other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications

BILLING MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced knowledge of medical billing CPT, ICD10, and HCPCS coding and medical terminology
  • Overall understanding of managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc.)
  • Understanding of and ability to implement and manage all aspects of in-house billing
  • Must excel in working effectively and communicating with providers, patients, and staff
  • Superior emotional intelligence competencies in areas of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management
  • Ability to communicate and influence change effectively in both written and oral form
  • Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates self and others to perform well

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

BILLING MANAGER EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School or equivalent - required
  • Three years of proven healthcare revenue cycle experience -required
