Business Process Analyst – Job Description

The Business Process Analyst (BPA) specializes in analyzing business processes and workflows with the objective of finding out how they can be improved. The BPA coordinates, documents, and draws inferences from process details and links these inferences to the big picture by considering business objectives in identifying process improvements. A focus is on delivering creative and efficient end-to-end solutions to improve our processes with the goal of increasing productivity, building new capabilities, and eliminating process inefficiencies. The BPA collaborates and consults with business partners to drive change and business success

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with all organizational partners to identify process inefficiencies and design end-to-end solutions, and coordinate process improvement project activities
  • Provide expertise in identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across processes and workflows
  • Conduct process workflow modeling sessions to highlight areas of improvement or concerns
  • Monitor, measure and provide feedback on process performance
  • Collaborate to continually develop the Business Process Excellence governance standards for the organization
  • Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes are achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed-upon service levels
  • Coordinate with partners and conduct the necessary change management to successfully lead and implement process changes
  • Support the collection and documentation of business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts
  • Assist leadership in project prioritization, project selection, project reviews and benefits tracking including establishment of dashboard reporting and quality

Job Qualifications:

  • 1+ years working in Information Technology, Project/Process Management, or similar field
  • Exhibits excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Displays strong critical thinking skills
  • Acts as a creative problem solver
  • Ability to remain objective when interfacing with business teams
  • Ability to facilitate highly effective meetings
  • Committed and able to deliver quality and thorough work outputs

Preferences:

  • 1+ years of process analyst/improvement experience
  • Experience with Business Process Model & Notation (BPMN) Tools and Methodology
  • Understanding of business functions, workflows, and processes
  • Experience with process automation, management, and improvement
