Brief Description of Duties:

Justice Assistance, providing justice for all, one person at a time since 1978, is seeking a Clinical Case Manager/Counselor. Our Comprehensive Offender Resource and Employment Service (CORES), a new approach to justice is Rhode Island’s one-stop, fully customizable approach that provides a wraparound family of services in a single location.

This position embraces justice-involved individuals with a closely coordinated service model. You will be empowered to create a crucial fork in the road, pointing your clients to a future that keeps them out of the justice system. In the process, you earn the satisfaction of not just serving justice but improving it. The Clinical Case Manager/Counselor will assess the needs of clients, develop an individualized case plan, facilitate access to services, provide evidence-based counseling and, when necessary, support our clients and their families with crisis intervention services.

Responsibilities of position:

• Provide direct counseling services to individuals and families in need utilizing evidence-based, trauma-informed practices.
• Provide direct case management services to individuals and families.
• Develop individualized case plans based on assessment of client needs.
• Facilitate access to community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
• Support clients with external organizations and systems of care.
• Monitor the progress of clients toward meeting their goals.
• Document all client interactions in accordance with agency policies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Develop educational materials/groups for use by clients and their families.
• Engage in a wrap-around, team-based approach to deliver innovative services to justice-involved individuals.
• Other duties as assigned in a rapidly evolving program/agency.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would hold an MSW Degree with either an active LCSW or LICSW to practice in Rhode Island OR the intention of becoming licensed within the next 6 months. 2nd Year MSW Students with relevant experience and interest in the client population will be considered. Previous experience of direct practice engagement with justice involved individuals preferred. The ideal candidate will carry knowledge/expertise of engagement with mental health disorders and trauma; co-occuring disorders and comorbidities associated with such; substance use disorders; behavioral health assessment/examination; the unique needs of the justice-involved population. Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: 62,000.00 to 65,500.00 per year
