Position Highlights
The Arizona Perinatal Psychiatry Line (APAL) will provide same day access to psychiatric consultation by telephone for any healthcare provider in Arizona for all psychiatric and behavioral health-related questions for patients who are pregnant, in the first year postpartum, or who have pregnancy-related complications.

We are hiring a Clinical Navigator to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about public health and advancing reproductive mental health care. They will be responsible for triaging telephone calls from eligible healthcare providers throughout Arizona state who are caring for pregnant and postpartum women with mental health care needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Follow all program screening and intake procedures, including data collection metrics and triage callers directly to the Psychiatrist as indicated and in accordance with program.
  • Receives inbound calls to A-PAL with high level of compassion and efficiency, building effective rapport quickly.
    Initiates contact with caller.
  • Conducts effective clinical triage to ensure appropriateness for APAL consult, providing alternative resources if necessary, including transfer to crisis line.
  • Data collection under oversight of the Administrative Lead.
  • Offer top level of customer service to a diverse customer base.
  • Ensure follow-up provider satisfaction surveys are completed in accordance with relevant program requirements.
  • As part of APAL team, assist in the development of a resource database by identifying and building knowledge of mental health resources throughout the state.
  • Assist in the development and management of computerized systems for tracking.
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts of APAL.
  • Attend APAL team meetings as scheduled by APAL Director or designee.
  • Actively engage in supervision as scheduled by APAL Director or designee.
  • Ensure follow-up provider satisfaction surveys are completed in accordance with relevant program requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience.
