The Alumni Coordinator is responsible for providing daily support to the Senior Alumni Manager and the Alumni Network program. The Coordinator also supports initiatives of the broader Business Development department.


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Generate content and support on-going development of content for the Alumni Network website, including outlining, drafting and editing features.
  • Support development and maintenance of alumni events and engagement pipeline, including coordination with firm Events team to budget, plan, coordinate, and evaluate alumni events and programs. Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling and execution of various internal and external meetings, alumni and client programs, video and print interview features and related activities.
  • Audit data management systems to support recommended improvements and streamline collection and distribution of information across the firm.
  • Manage the Alumni Welcome Program. Assist in the enhancement of the off-boarding process, track departures to ensure accurate data collection, meet with departing attorneys to conduct welcome conversations, identify departure trends, track requests for alumni activity and develop recommendations for responsive programming.
  • Manage CareerConnect, the firm’s online job board. Proactively source available job leads and coordinate lead referrals from partners, colleagues in Career Development and Professional Development and Training. Ensure that the board remains relevant and current through weekly job listing cycling and verification. Track associated metrics.
  • Analyze and distill alumni data, including quarterly and yearly metrics to provide actionable intelligence for the firm’s attorneys and business development teams.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for alumni-related information and data to assist in identifying business development, recruiting and other opportunities.
  • Oversee all aspects of the alumni website and Alumni Portal, including overall functionality, content creation, and proactively suggest ideas to make the site a valuable resource.
  • Assist in the creating and executing the program’s social media strategy. Work collaboratively with colleagues in web marketing, content and communications.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Experience working in a marketing communications position or law firm is a plus. Experience working in an alumni-focused environment, including higher education advancement, is also a plus.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and processes and eagerness to help the team.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, editing, formatting, proofreading and presentation).
  • Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities to meet time-sensitive deadlines as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously, including confidential matters.
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of or willingness to learn intermediate-to- advanced Excel functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Resourceful, driven attitude with a genuine desire and energy to use a “whatever it takes” approach to ensure team success

This is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance in accordance with the schedule set forth by the department. A hybrid schedule is an essential function of this role.

Salary:

$70,000 - $80,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.
