The City of Portage's Ramona Park is seeking individuals with exemplary customer service skills to be part of the Beach House Cafe. The responsibilities or this position will be preparing and selling concessions, retail items and equipment rentals. Applicants should possess cash handling skills, computer skills, and have familiarity with POS systems. Current ServSafe Food Handler Certification is required. The City of Portage will provide the means to obtain if not already certified.Ramona Park Beach House will be open 7 days a week, 10 AM - 7 PM. Selected candidate must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, work as a team, and have reliable transportation. Hours and shifts vary; 35-40 hours/week. Hourly rate $11.25-$13/hour, based on experience. Must pass a post-offer background check and drug screen, including marijuana.
Season begins Memorial Weekend and runs through Labor Day however it is only open on weekends until public schools are dismissed for the summer. Must be available through Labor Day, including weekends and holidays.
