Job description

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, including cleaning and polishing teeth, taking and developing x-rays, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work well with both patients and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental prophylaxis and other preventive procedures.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
• Perform dental radiographs and administer local anesthetics.
• Document patient information in the electronic health record system.
• Assess patient oral health and develop treatment plans.
• Perform periodontal scaling and root planing.
• Provide fluoride treatments and sealants.
• Provide patient education on nutrition, smoking cessation, and other lifestyle factors that affect oral health.

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Weekend availability

• Oakland Gardens, NY 11364: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Registered Dental Hygienist (Preferred)
• Dental License (Preferred)
