The Dishwasher /Prep Cook Position makes up to $24/hour (with tips). Perform all duties related to kitchen involving supporting the kitchen with prep tasks and the opening/closing of the kitchen. Responsibilities involve washing dishes, emptying trash receptacles, and performing other tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for guests. Works under general supervision. Exercises initiative and independent judgment when performing kitchen-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Dishwashers work to take on some janitorial and supportive kitchen tasks, such as washing dishes and appliances, emptying trash receptacles, scrubbing floors, restocking items, and performing other tasks to ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are clean and prepared for guests.

• Assist in the opening of the kitchen

• Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in daily tasks

• Assist in the checking in and properly storing all kitchen deliveries

• Assist in the dough management and dough preparation for service

• Complete the daily prep list, communicating with management any items not complete.

• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, slicing meat, shredding cheese, cleaning greens or preparing sauces & vinaigrettes)

• Follow all recipes according to the recipe book

• Maintain the kitchen and ensuring it is clean and sanitized throughout the shift

• Asses daily inventory and inform management when items/product are needed

• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

• Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.

• Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in weekly inventory

General Qualifications

Should have general knowledge of the mechanics of a kitchen as well as general knowledge of food handling and storage. Must have a strong work ethic and the motivation to learn and grow.

Preferred Education

Serv Safe certification required. If no previous certification, employee has 30 days to complete this requirement.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
