DISHWASHER

POSITION DEFINITION:

We are recruiting for a Dishwasher for the Food & Beverage Department. Serve as the dishwasher for the Community Association at Sun City Palm Desert. Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware and glassware.

SOME DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wash all dishes, silver and glassware in automatic dishwasher, scrub pots and pans.
• Keep area immediately around dishwasher clean and dry.
• Empty garbage at dishwasher whenever is necessary. Maintain the loading dock area clean and dry.
• Clean out dishwasher after each run or whenever necessary (mandatory every 2 hours).
• Make sure that the dishwasher temperature is maintained as prescribed on the instruction tag.
• Keep kitchen floor and surrounding area clean and free of debris. Use the "CAUTION" sign when floors are wet.
• Maintain silverware and glassware free of water spot by following instruction provided during training.
• Maintain storeroom stock properly, all labels must face the front to insure identification of product. Area must remain clean at all times and dated.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks as directed by Food & Beverage Management staff.
• Ability to interact with all other personalities in the department.
• Collect trash from kitchen areas; empties garbage cans and washes and re-line with new bags. Break down boxes, crate and remove debris.
• Examine garbage for misplaced silverware, dishes, glassware and other reusable items.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Perform other tasks such as storing foods after delivery and cleaning coolers, freezers and storerooms.
• Assist in completing weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance list.
• Clean and safely store all brooms, mops and other cleaning equipment in their proper places, including chemical area.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping records on the Time Log and the clock.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Executive Chef and the Kitchen Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of five (2) years of dishwashing experience.
• Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19
