Duties

  • Serve as a Senior Financial Analyst and technical project manager for the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) Support Team/Center.
  • Work and collaborate with the DAI Program Management Office Help Desk and the DCMA IT Help Desk to analyze and resolve complex DAI and related application issues associated with financial management processes.
  • Perform extensive review, research, and analysis of proposed DAI methodologies, strategies, and solutions to identify gaps and inaccuracies.
  • Provide expert advice in dealing with senior leadership, program officials, accountants, budget analysts on interpretation of accounting, budget, and financial regulations pertinent to systems development efforts/program operations.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Financial Management Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Providing financial support and training support to end users and focusing independently on financial management processes.
  • Integrating and evaluating a wide variety of electronic data systems with emphasis on financial management processes.
  • Developing new or modified financial management policies, processes, performance measures, or evaluation plans.
  • Providing recommendations such as modifying financial management systems, workflow, or lines of authority.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

  • Due to COVID-19, the agency is currently in an expanded telework posture. If selected, you will be required to report to the official duty location and may be expected to temporarily telework. Those that have a cut-off score 97 and above and demonstrate in their resume they possess the competencies to perform effectively.
  • Well-Qualified: The next lower category (Well-Qualified) will be used for those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications of the position and are proficient in some, but not all, of the requirements of the position. Candidates may require some training but not in all areas. Those that have a cut-off score 80 to 96, and have demonstrated in their resume they possess the competencies to perform proficiently.
  • Qualified: This category will be used for the candidates that only meet the basic requirements and eligibilities. Candidates may require extensive training and/or orientation in order to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. Those that have a cut-off score 70 to 79 and possess the competencies.
